About Lori

Hello, my name is Lori Grace Kochevar. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an adoptive mother with twenty years of clinical expertise in the child welfare system. Along with a Master’s degree, I have extensive expertise in the physiological components of trauma and attachment issues in children and how this affects the families and systems that are entrusted with their care.

My path is to partner with others to revolutionize how we provide support to foster and adoptive families and the children they serve. I am an accomplished trainer who specializes in designing experimental learning opportunities which are aimed at increasing transparency and receptivity to the wonder that is all around us.

As a Master Therapist I am starting a new conversation in the child welfare system. In questioning long term assumptions we have collectively accepted, I have found clinically and empirically based models with results that increase our effectiveness and efficiency to deliver fast, safe, long-lasting results to the families we serve.

As a Transitional Specialist I support systems, organizations, families and individuals to shift effectively and efficiently. I promote peace in how they interact with themselves and others in the world. As the adoptive mother of two incredible children, I am passionate about providing opportunities for children to optimize their potential so that families and communities are able to thrive.

While I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, I do not practice under that degree with work pertaining to this site.
